Cindy Falkenstein

A lifelong artist, jewelry designer, photographer and costume designer, Cindy draws from years of experience and traveling the world to create her own unique style of art.

She received formal training in photography from the University of Toledo, and ceramics and stained glass at New Mexico Tech. Today she finds mixed media painting, assemblage, and collage to be some of her favorite forms of expression.

Creating art from all forms of media (including textiles, leather, and found objects) she loves to mix genres and even creates wearable art out of unconventional materials (such as road maps.)

Cindy and her husband, Matt, have created their own studio, called One Oak Road, on the premise that works of art and design shall be one of a kind, using repurposed materials.

Cindy has shown her work at the Mattawoman Creek Art Center at Smallwood State Park in Marbury, MD, and Art Werks in Richmond, VA., and is a new member of the Artists Alliance of Colonial Beach.
