Approximately 25 miles south of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, sits the former U.S. Coast Guard station and the Point Montara Lighthouse, sitting high above Pacifica, California. As the fog rolls onto the beaches of Pacifica and the surfers take to the waves, the fresnel of the lighthouse, built in 1880 and automated on 1970, has unwaveringly shone a warning to the mariners at sea of the cliff rocks below. Where do you want to go? For us landlubbers, the light is a beacon - igniting a yearning for discovery in all directions, and the sign post opens a world of imagination offering the viewer a glimpse of where they might find themselves if they venture off that cliff in whichever direction they so choose.
