Marcia Chaves

I find inspiration in my roots in Fredericksburg, Stafford, and King George, where I've lived for almost 50 years in the Old Stone House in the Falmouth Bottom on the banks of the Falls Run and the Rappahannock River.  All the while I've pursued my love of drawing and painting since childhood.

 

After 75 years, returning to Colonial Beach as an exhibitor at the Artists' Alliance at Jarrett Thor Fine Arts brings back cherished memories of childhood summers here. 

 

A native of Fredericksburg, I spent my first birthday on the shores of the Potomac at my Grandfather's "Lone Star" cottage on Lincoln Avenue, and years later my husband Juan and I returned there for our honeymoon.
