This piece done entirely as a painting on tissue paper was a bit of a dance. Playing with color. Playing with shapes. Playing with massing. Playing with depth. And mostly it wasn't really conscious, just fun. Later when looking at past work this painting spoke to me as life above the waves, which is its title. You can find whatever you want in that world above the waves, but the happy yellow and the dynamic colors say that it is really a positive world.
