Harbor, a short walk from the town of Bar Harbor, lies within Acadia National Park in DownEast Maine on Frenchman’s Bay. It inspires family memories of summer days spent wandering the beach at low tide to observe the starfish, Jonah crabs, shells and other critters that shelter beneath curtains of kelp weed and granite rock. The dramatic background of rugged Ironbound Island in the distance inspired impressionist painters including John Singer Sargent, John Breck, and Dwight Blaney.
