Special Raku Pottery Event This Saturday – Nov 7, 11-5

Potter Daniel Christie will be hosting a Raku pottery demonstration in the parking lot across from the gallery. He’ll be lighting up his portable raku kiln on Saturday at 11am. It will heat up to over 1900 degrees in 1.5 hours. He’ll be talking pottery and firing techniques and will open the flaming kiln and remove glowing hot pottery for a crash cooling cycle that creates a very distinct surface. Daniel will also hold a raffle for works that he is firing during the demonstration. Visitors are entered in the raffle in exchange for your contact information. Everyone welcome!
