Join Vicki for an exciting two day workshop where you will learn how to create dynamic paintings with vibrant color harmony. Vicki will lead students through all the stages of the painting process with demonstrations of how to create rich compositions painting alla prima (wet on wet), intensify vibrant color relationships, and utilize critiques to improve artwork. To enable students to begin with a strong composition, this class will emphasize the fundamental elements of color.
Some painting/drawing experience is desirable, but Vicki has over a decade of teaching experience, and is comfortable working with students at all levels. Each student will receive individual attention to help improve their painting techniques and confidence by rendering images from a photograph of their choice into a successful painting. Cost for the two-day workshop is $175. (lunch is independent- we will take a break halfway through the class for lunch).
