Artists’ Alliance is excited to be showing 2 new pictures from painter Hubert Jackson.
Beside the Still Waters
The Water Protectors
Artist Hubert Jackson’s painting, The Water Protectors, was inspired by a photograph he saw of native Americans protesting an attempt to build an oil pipeline under the river that supplies them with water. Members of several tribes banded together to physically resist construction, by standing in the water to thwart those efforts, hence the name The Water Protectors. Hubert Implanted arrow heads into the picture, as he typically adds in items of symbolic importance into his work.
