It is every woman's dream to turn her hobby into a career, but it isn't easy. I began working in art glass in the 1980s, but I kept my "day job" until 1997, when I finally took the plunge.
Since moving to the Northern Neck in 1999, I have found inspiration in the waterfront wildlife and slower pace of life. My husband, Bob, and I are sole proprietors of Zekiah Glass and Chestnut Cove B&B.
Teaching stained glass and operating a B&B keeps me entertained, and all my spare time goes into creating original stained glass panels.
Eclectic in my choice of subject matter, I find the most pleasure in designing custom panels for my clients that add another dimension to their homes, places of worship, or businesses.
Joining the growing number of creative pioneers transplanting to the Northern Neck, I find the serene and scenic area a perfect atmosphere in which to work. As native Washingtonians, my husband and I declare our decision to settle here the best choice we have ever made.
